Everyone's path is different and along my journey I came across several books that hit me at the right time. They spoke in a way so I could hear a key message at that time and on the subjects that I needed to learn more about. There's many great books out there, and I've read many more than are on this list. This is NOT a list the 7 best books I've read, but the ones that caused me to shift with the learnings and lessons they brought me.
"While I also believe you can cure yourself, one gigantic lesson I learned in the past few years is that healing is not the same as curing. You can cure without healing, and you can heal without curing. In medical school and residency, most of our training focused on curing. Very little attention was focused on healing. "
Journeying is a critical skill for those on a shamanic path and offers many invaluable tools to help your healing and your life. For most shamanic traditions when you journey you are visiting one of the 3 worlds. Sandra Ingerman and Alberto Villoldo do a great job of outlining what those 3 worlds are.
"Modern physics is describing what the ancient wisdom keepers of the Americas have long known. These shamans, known as 'the Earthkeepers,' say that we’re dreaming the world into being through the very act of witnessing it. Scientists believe that we’re only able to do this in the very small subatomic world. Shamans understand that we also dream the larger world that we experience with our senses."
